We're getting married!!

It all started on March 14, 2017, at a Delta Gamma & Kappa Sig Exchange with a Casino Night theme. Julia dressed in a sparkly gold dress with a choker lol, and Nick dressed in his suit. Julia walked right up to Nick and started talking—without even introducing herself! Soon, the music kicked in, and we naturally ended up on the dance floor. The night kept going at the after-party, more dancing, and a late-night burrito at Trujillo’s... and the rest is history!

Nick invited all his siblings to San Diego for what I thought was just a “siblings weekend.” We had brunch together that morning, and right after, Ben and Laiz said they were off to see other friends, and Gen and Garrett needed to buy a wetsuit — so suddenly it was just me and Nick. Nick suggested a walk on the beach, and I had a sneaky feeling something might be happening. At first, we were just strolling, and I started to think… maybe it’s not actually happening. But after about 30 minutes on our favorite beach, just a mile from our house where we walk almost every day, Nick suddenly got down on one knee. I remember asking “Is this for real?!” and then, of course, made him give his love speech. I don’t remember a word he said, but I said YES! — I’d been waiting for this moment for 8 years! Then he told me we were going to celebrate at Union with his siblings. As we walked over, I was surprised all over again — all my best friends and family were there. That day instantly became my favorite day ever. We celebrated, danced, and soaked in all the love!
