Belle Isle
If you are feeing up for a small hike, you can use the footbridge that crosses the James River to get to Brown's island, or you can just enjoy one of the more scenic parks inside the city!
Virginia Museum of Fine Arts
This free museum has a ton of interesting history and exhibits! It also has a restaurant in the top level that has a great happy hour with a balcony overlooking the lawn. It's located in a great area of town walking distance from multiple restaurants and bars!
3 Monkeys Bar & Grill
If you are in the mood for an amazing happy hour, we recommend this spot! It's walking distance from the Virginia Fine Arts Museum, and also central to many other local gems!
Metzger Bar and Butchery
Contemporary German-inspired restaurant in the Church Hill neighborhood in Richmond. The food here is out of this world! Known primarily for "The Chop", you can't go wrong with anything at this restaurant!
The Veil Brewing Co.
A modern, industrial vibe, with plenty of seating indoors and out. They have cans/bottles to go, draft for on-premise consumption, and a rotating daily food vendor/truck. If you're looking for an interesting craft beer in a unique location this is a great starting spot. Located in Scott's Addition, you will not be at a shortage of breweries within walking distance.
Canal Walk
This is located right by Casa Del Barco, which has some great food & margaritas. We definitely recommend checking this area out, there are beautiful murals that are unique to Richmond! While this is a great photo opportunity, there's also a walking path from Taphouse to Brown's Island that is well worth the trek!
