We met working as camp counselors at Inspiration Point during the summer of 2019. Although there was no romantic interest throughout the whole summer, Julia felt led to reach out to Nate when he went back to school at Grand Canyon University. We began our dating relationship over long-distance until Nate moved back home.

The first real opportunity we had to get to know one another was during a workday at Inspiration Point's second camp location, Twin Oaks. This specific day also happened to be Nate's birthday. We got assigned the job of digging up an old gate post at the entrance of the camp and replacing it with a new one. This opened up the opportunity to have a few hours of intentional conversation between the two of us. As this was the place where it all began, there was no better place for Nate to proposer a year later!
