The start of the relationship was just like any other. On the first date, Julia spilled water all over the table. On the second date, Nate squeezed Corona and Lime into Julia’s eyes. By the third month Julia surprised Nate by adopting another cat, and he still stuck around. Now they’re best friends (Nate and Miller the cat, that is), and Nate knew to keep the cat around he needed to propose.

Nate proposed in one of the most beautiful places in the world, Acadia National Park at a gorgeous overlook. As if proposing wasn’t enough, it was actually a quickly thought out Plan B, as someone else had just proposed at the site he originally intended to at the same exact time! It made the day even more memorable for us (but Nate would claim that it actually made it a lot more stressful).
