Great for hiking, biking, jogging or just walking, this 18.6 mile trail provides scenic views stretching from DC to Rock Creek Regional Park, north of Rockville, MD. This is one of the most popular trails in the Washington metro area and is a must do for those who love the outdoors.
Next to the Friendship Heights metro, this area provides guests with upscale shopping and dining options. Also great for window shopping.

Admission is free! The Portrait Gallery is located in the China Town neighborhood of DC, a favorite spot of Julia's growing up. This museum houses all of the presidential portraits. Easily accessible via metro by getting off at the Gallery Place stop on the red line.

A great fast casual mediterranean restaurant. Similar to Chipotle, there are tons of combinations and lots of options for vegan, vegetarian and gluten free dietary restrictions. This is one of Julia's favorite places to frequent.
If you'll be sightseeing in DC, this is an amazing jewish deli that serves wood-fired bagels. The zatar bagel and pastrami egg and cheese are both must tries!
