FAQs

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

We kindly ask that you RSVP on the RSVP tab no later than February 1st 2026

Question

Do you have a registry?

Answer

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! However, should you wish to honour us with a gift, a monetary contribution towards our future together would be greatly appreciated. For Toronto-based family and friends, cards can be shared before or after the Italy event, rather than bringing internationally. We will be leaving for our honeymoon right after the wedding celebrations, and will not have any space to bring physical gifts on our travels.

Question

What’s the dress code for the wedding?

Answer

The dress code for each of the Wedding Weekend Events is denoted on the Wedding Weekend Tab of this website. For the outdoor events, please wear appropriate footwear, as parts of the venue have gravel paths and grassy areas.

Question

Will transportation be provided to the venue?

Answer

Yes, we will organize a shuttle service from central Florence to the venue and back. Details on pickup times and locations can be found on the Travel Tab of this website

Question

How far is Dimora il Ghirlandaio from Florence city center?

Answer

It’s about 20 minutes by car or taxi from the city center, depending on traffic.

Question

Is there parking available at the venue?

Answer

Yes, there is limited parking available on site for those arriving by car.

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, both the ceremony and reception will take place outdoors, surrounded by gardens and Tuscan countryside. The party will then move indoors for dancing. The welcome dinner will be held indoors and the farewell party will be outdoors

Question

What time does the ceremony start?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4pm on June 26, 2026, so please arrive at least 15 minutes early.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the highlights, and we'll share the photos with you afterwards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our ceremony.

Question

Are children welcome to the Italy celebrations?

Answer

While we love children, for several reasons, we have opted for an adults-only affair.

Question

Can we stay at Dimora il Ghirlandaio?

Answer

The villa has limited rooms available for close family and the wedding party. We recommend staying in central Florence or in nearby Scandicci – a list of suggested hotels and accommodations are on the Travel Tab of this website
