We're writing to you today to tell you, with a huge sense of humility, that we don't quite know what's going on. There's not exactly a playbook for "How to Handle Wedding Plans amid a Global Pandemic," and so we're working through our checklists item-by-item. We especially wanted to reach out to say that we understand, and hope that you'll feel confident in making the decisions that are best for you and your family surrounding our wedding. We don't have any inside information about when restrictions will lift around gathering size or location, what the expectations will be regarding mask usage, or anything else in our current situation. We've explored all options and, at this time, are keeping it our intention to marry on May 22nd pending any new developments. We don't know what that means or what the ceremony will look like and you can trust us, there's a LOT of stress associated with that. It seems like every perceived solution (postponement or re-structuring the ceremony) introduces 5-10 new questions or challenges that repeatedly bring us back to square one. At this time, we're focused on joining our lives together to settle some of the other questions related to living 2,000 miles away from each other (future careers, the city that we live in, etc.). We're sincerely thankful for your support and attention at this time, but would like to encourage you simply to do what's best for your family. We're aware that flights, hotels, etc. are being cancelled rapidly and will understand if you can't commit to making the trip to Phoenix. The State of Arizona currently has a "Stay at Home" order that is in place until April 30th; should any new information arise, we'll be back in touch with you as soon as we have good news to share! If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to Luke directly at 440-785-7491. We're excited to be married and are hopeful we'll get to share our special day with you all soon.
