Revitalized, hip Scott’s Addition is the hub of the city’s brewing scene, with cideries, taprooms, and distilleries housed in converted warehouses. Tazza Kitchen is a great place to grab lunch or dinner! Tang & Biscuit is a trendy place to play indoor shuffleboard and grab some food and drink.
Carytown is nine blocks of dining and shopping at the southern end of the Museum District in Richmond. Some great lunch spots include The Daily Kitchen & Bar, Ellwood Thompson's (healthy grocery and cafe), Burger Bach, and Sticky Rice. Check out Can Can Brasserie, a French restaurant with great food + cocktails. Fun boutiques to stop by include Glassboat, Mongrel (fun home accessories, greeting cards, and novelty items), World of Mirth (local toy store), and Traveling Chic Boutique.
The Shops at Libbie and Grove are charming neighborhood, boutique and specialty store shopping and cafes. For food, Continental Westhampton is a casual restaurant and bar (the vodka limeade is a must try!). Jack Brown's Beer & Burger Joint is delicious. TASTE is a casual grab and go sandwich shop; Palani Drive is a great place for wraps, but if you are looking for a more classic, hole-in-the-wall, sub shop, Stuffy's is for you. Libbie Market also has some tasty options! There is also great shopping! Peter Blair is a nice store for men and Nellie George is an awesome boutique for women.
Belle Isle lies within the James River and is a city park. Access the island via the suspension footbridge that runs under the Robert E. Lee Bridge. From Belle Isle, you can see many Richmond sights, including Hollywood Cemetery, Tredegar Iron Works, and get a great view of the Richmond skyline.
