FAQs

The Wedding Website of Julia Hagenbaumer and Kyle Jackson
Question

What is the weather like in April?

Answer

Austin in April is a mix of warm and cool days. Daytime averages are 70-80s and night time lows can be around 50-60s. There is an occasional rain so please check the weather as it gets closer!

Question

Should I Rent a Car?

Answer

Traveling within the city limits and getting from the airport is very easy with Uber/Lyft. While there are plenty of things to do in the city, there are many hiking and outdoor activities outside of the city that Uber and Lyft don't typically go to. Uber and Lyft does service our wedding venue but transportation will be provided from the hotel room block to the venue and back.

Question

What Should I Do While in Austin?

Answer

There is no shortage of things to do in Austin! Whether you want to enjoy the food and drink scenes or go with the more outdoorsy activities, there are plenty of options. Check out some of our favorite things on the "Things To Do" page.

Question

What is Semi-Formal Country Dress Code?

Answer

Semi-formal country is your chance to dress up and keep it true to Texas style. Think wedding-appropriate and polished, with a laid-back country twist. Dresses, jumpsuits, and dressy separates are perfect, while suits or sport coats with button-downs fit right in for guests. Boots are fair game (and encouraged!), but aim for a more refined look—save denim, t-shirts, and casual hats for another day. Dress to impress, but still comfortable enough to dance the night away.

Question

Will there be live music at the reception?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have live music from The Ransom Brothers, a local Austin country-rock band that knows how to keep the dance floor full. Bring your boots, your best moves, and be ready to two-step the night away! Check them out on Spotify and YouTube!

Question

Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

12 and up are welcome!

Question

Will The Wedding Be Indoors or Outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony and happy hour will take place outdoors. Dinner will be inside while the remaining reception celebrations will be mainly outside after dinner. Guests will have access to both indoor and outdoor spaces throughout the evening.
