The Wedding Website of Julia Weiss and Kevin Winseck
Estes Park is a cute mountain town that serves as the gateway to Rocky Mountain National Park. It has plenty of lodging (but book early!) and outdoorsy things to do. Estes Park itself has cell service, but do not expect service in Rocky Mountain National Park. Guests may also consider staying in Boulder or Longmont, about an hour away from the venue.

Travel Note

High Altitude Warning

Please remember that our wedding venue is at 8,300' above sea level. If you are not used to high elevations, this can lead to altitude sickness, causing headaches, nausea, and shortness of breath. These effects will be exacerbated by alcohol, so drink cautiously! The best prevention is acclimation and hydration (with water!), so we strongly recommend arriving in Colorado at least a day before the wedding. This is the most beautiful time of year so we hope you enjoy it!

Flight

Transit from Denver International Airport

The airport (DIA) is about an hour and a half from Estes Park. There is a shuttle that runs every few hours between DIA and Estes Park (click "View" button). For greater flexibility and the ability to explore nearby Rocky Mountain National Park, we highly recommend renting a car. Please reach out if you want help connecting with other guests you could share a car with!

Hotels

Estes Park, CO

Estes Park is at the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park, which means you can expect lots of tourists in June. So be sure to book your lodging well in advance! While there are lots of rooms in Estes Park, they will fill up fast and prices will increase as we get closer to the wedding date. We recommend booking your lodging by January 2024 for best availability. Hotels in Boulder, Longmont, or Loveland may be cheaper and more available but not necessarily recommended for the night of the wedding as they are about an hour away through dark mountain roads. You also won't get the same mountain experience outside of Estes Park.
