Located just across the channel from Lubec. Roosevelt Campobello International Park is a singular example of international cooperation - jointly administered, staffed, and funded by the peoples of Canada and the United States. Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt’s magnificent summer home is preserved here in a combination indoor museum and outdoor nature park on Campobello Island, New Brunswick, Canada. Plan to spend an hour touring the Visitor Centre, Roosevelt Cottage, and flower gardens. Spend several hours in the Park’s 1,134-hectare (2,800-acre) Natural Area, where you can explore walking trails, beaches, bogs, forest, and spectacular ocean headlands - or enjoy a picnic with an ocean or lighthouse view. Kane and Julia personally recommend the FUN tour.

Travel to the eastern-most tip of Campobello and you'll find East Quoddy Lighthouse, also known as Head Harbour Light Station. Only accessible during lowtide, you'll need to climb a bit for this one, so wear sneakers or hiking boots.
Visit the Lighthouse Visitors Center, which occupies the first floor of the lightkeepers' quarters. There you'll find historic and interactive displays. The State park is open for visitors and boasts 541 protected coastal acres. Stunning views are available on many hiking trails and nature walks. Visit the bogs, climb the coastal trail or visit the rocky beach. You may see a whale or two.
