Hello! My name is Olivia Murphy and I am so grateful to be Julia’s Matron of Honor! Julia and I met at JMU in 2016 through the Catholic Campus Ministry (CCM) Music Ministry. We became fast friends and I am so blessed to have Julia in my life! A couple of my hobbies are singing and baking!

Hello! My name is Jonathan Matthews and I am Jonathan McMonigal's Best Man. Sharing a name got us into a fight around 2nd grade, and by God's grace we have been best friends ever since. Growing up with Jonathan has been an absolute blessing and I am so excited that he and Julia are getting married! My hobbies include indulging in geopolitical PowerPoints and spending time with family!

We met freshman year in college & took same International Affairs classes and were roommates at the Washington semester! Fun fact we were both “furloughed” at the state department, so Julia and I spent our time listening to jazz music and doing puzzles! Couldn’t have asked for a better roomie!!! Love you Julia 🥰🥰

David Jaquish is a U.S. Air Force pilot, devoted husband to Michelle, and proud father to his son, William. He is honored to stand alongside Jonathan on this special day. David met the groom in high school at Trinity Christian School. David enjoys graphic design, photography, family life, toddler chasing, professional-level TV staring, and the rare but glorious midday nap with his toddler.

Julia and I met in 2018 while I was working at JMU CCM. She was one of many students I got to know but after her graduation we knew this friendship needed to continue. We are the founders and original members of our little book club, which frequently discusses many things besides books. We have been sounding boards for each other over the years and always know we will have a cheerleader when we need one.

Julia and I became close and fast friends in 2021 after we met through mutual friends and quickly bonded through our tight-knit book club of girlfriends. We've shared countless nights out in the district, summer beach trips with friends, and cozy nights in yapping about life and love over a bottle of wine. I also unashamedly accept the title of unofficial matchmaker—I “shipped” Jonathan and Julia months before they actually met… at my wedding back in 2024 😉

Jonathan and I have been great friends since high school. From surviving Shenandoah blizzards, scorching Floridian heat, and a great plague - Jonathan and I have been through it all. These days you can find us at the gym or watching completely normal films. Professionally I press buttons on computers, but in my free time I enjoy hiking, arts and crafts, gaming, and Wikipedia rabbit holes.

Julia and I shared mutual friends in high school, but didn’t truly connect until bumping into one another at a church event in 2021. I am a bridesmaid and I met Julia when we were at JMU. Someone at CCM told me Julia was without anyone to disciple her and I thankfully agreed to something that led to a meaningful friendship. Now we’re in a book club too which is pretty great. My life is consumed by a 3yr old, 1yr old, work, and grad school, so my hobby is testing the limits of my sanity.
