Not formally, but we'd love to know if you will be attending. You can call or text Julie at (509) 761-8119 whenever is most convenient for you (the earlier the better!).
We hope it will stay organized as we do know that this is the Babak family's personal space. We did a couple things to make sure their home stays in great shape. First, we minimized the guest list (which was hard considering the amount of adorable little cousins Julie has). We also rented a "luxury bathroom trailer" that will be a great alternative to using the bathrooms inside. We generally expect everyone to use the trailer unless, of course, there is special circumstances. Breastfeeding mommas and grandparents will definitely have their own space in the home to use as they need. Last, we will clearly mark where everyone should be and shouldn't be. The celebration will be completely outdoors and there won't be any reason for the average guest to go into the home. We are all family and we hope that everyone will treat the property as they would want people to treat theirs:)
C'mon. We're Slavic. Of course you will be fed. There will be appetizers served during "cocktail hour" and a full meal in time for dinner.
There is a field right next to Babak's place that a neighbor graciously allowed us to use for parking. You can bring your car right up to the address written on the invitation and you will be directed where to go from there. It should be a pretty easy and self-explanatory process.
We are aiming for something light and neutral but want to add character throughout with vintage details. Whites, ivories, pastel peaches, mauves and pinks, etc. Classic and old-school would be how I would describe it! Garden Attire: Wear sundresses, floral prints, whites and neutrals, suits in lighter hues, and anything you think will survive the evening sun. The ceremony and reception will be held on grass so maybe opt out of those high stilettos. I (Julie) don't mind if you wear whites or ivories either! Again, no dress code whatsoever, just some fun ideas.
