We are getting there on Thursday the 13th and will be leaving on Wednesday the 19th

When should we book our room?

Answer

Yesterday. Or now for sure. From what we have been told the area books up fast and gets pricier as time goes on. We got a VRBO. There are a lot of VRBO, Air BnB, and hotel options.

Which is the closest airport?

Answer

Savannah is the closest, about 45 minutes away. Charleston is about 2 hours away. Next comes Jacksonville, about 2.5 hours away. Finally Atlanta is about 4.5 hours away. (notice this is in midwestern format where we measure distance in time lol)
