We met working at Camp Ozark in the summer of 2022, but didn't become friends until the summer of 2023. We stayed in touch the following school year with Julia in her senior year at Indiana University and Jack working in Waco. Then, by the Lord's kindness, we both happened to accept the same job in the spring of 2024 working for Ozone Ministries in Dallas. The following summer at camp we spent a lot of time together, but of course we were “just friends!” The day we both moved to Dallas after that summer at camp, Jack helped Julia move into her new townhome and then unexpectedly stayed for hours building her new furniture. After all the furniture was built, we went on a walk and talked about our feelings for each other along with the complexities and potential problems of dating and working together... But what the heck! Jack asked Julia on a date anyways and she said yes. We had our first date on August 15th, 2024 which consisted of the Waco Zoo and cliff jumping at Lake Whitney. We officially started dating that night! Since then, we've taken on a lot of things together- coworkers, classmates, pickleball partners, double solitaire rivals, road trip buddies, best friends, and as of January 10th, fiancés! We are so excited to add husband & wife to the list of things we feel blessed to share come October 3rd!
