Julia and I met four years ago during our first couple weeks of college after meeting a friend of Julia's who lived in our same apartment complex. Our group of friends would see each other almost every day, and Julia and I eventually grew into best friends as we spent hours together studying, obsessing out over music, and going on adventures with our friends.
Eventually Julia decided to serve a mission, and so did I. It was only after she left that we both started to realize just how much we cared for each other and missed having the other around. We kept in touch weekly throughout the course of our mission trips, and despite being as far away from each other as we could possibly be in Brazil and Taiwan, our connection only grew.
Since arriving home, Julia and I have had the time of our life, started dating, and after a little while decided we wanted this forever. Julia is one of the sweetest souls I've ever met in my life, and I am so excited and proud to marry her soon!
