FAQs

Question

What date should I RSVP by?

Answer

Please RSVP by the end of June.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one, they will appear under your name when you RSVP. If you would like to bring an uninvited plus one, please ask Hector or Julia directly. Thank you for understanding!

Question

Are kids invited?

Answer

We have many friends and family members who are parents. Children and babies are welcome, parents are expected to be vigilant and keep and eye on wanderers. We encourage you to use this evening as a date night or a night to yourselves!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The dress code for our wedding is cocktail or dressy-casual. If you elect to wear jeans, please choose clean and hole-free and pair with a nice polo or button down. Avoid white and ivory. Colors preferred are natural shades of greens, browns, oranges, reds and yellows.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 3:15 no later. Please arrive 15-30 minutes prior to the ceremony to allow time to use the facilities and find your seat. If you find yourself with an arrival time after 3:15, please do not interrupt the ceremony and instead join us at the reception!

Question

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony is intended to be outside and uncovered, weather permitting. Should we experience in-climate weather, we will utilize our tented reception area as the ceremony site as well.

Question

Do you have any overnight recommendations?

Answer

If you are able, camping space will be provided on site. Please bring your own gear and join us for the night! The closest hotels we recommend can be found huddled together in Okemos just off the intersection of Okemos Rd/ Jolly Rd. Addresses are provided in the Travel tab of our website. DO NOT (we cannot stress this enough) stay at Heb's Inn & Motel in Mason or Village Inn Motel in Holt.

Question

Where should I park?

Answer

Parking is located in the southeast pasture of the property on the road side of the bridge just across the driveway from the ceremony. You may leave your vehicle overnight if need be but it must be picked up the following morning.

Question

What do I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you are unable to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by selecting "not attending" when you RSVP so we can plan accordingly. We look forward to sharing photos with you!

Question

Will I be able to take pictures at the wedding?

Answer

We have hired a wonderful photographer to document our ceremony. We ask that guest cameras and phones be powered off or silenced and put away for the entirety of the ceremony. Once the ceremony has concluded, please take as many pictures and videos as you'd like!

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

Of course! The drinks are on us and the hangover is on you! If you are planning on enjoying alcoholic beverages throughout the evening, we highly recommend pre-gaming with a Liquid IV packet or 2. Don't forget to hydrate throughout the night so we can keep the party going!

Question

What if I have more questions that aren't answered here?

Answer

If you have additional questions, please contact Rachel, sister of the bride, or message Julia or Hector directly. Please ask your questions prior to the week of the wedding. The Bride and Groom will be unavailable for questions on their wedding day.
