Is there enough parking at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, there is plenty of parking if you wish to drive, but we do NOT want anyone to drink and drive so please plan accordingly!!

How long does it take to get to the wedding venue?

Answer

From the Hyatt House Downtown, it is 10 miles and takes approx. 25 minutes. From Kiawah Island Golf Resort, it is 19 miles and takes approx. 35 minutes. From Shem Creek, it is 17 miles and takes approx. 35 minutes. From Folly Beach, it is 15 miles and takes approx. 30 minutes.

Is transportation provided?

Answer

Transportation is provided to those that RSVP'd from The Hyatt House Downtown. If you are not staying at that hotel, you can park in the parking garage attached to the hotel to hop on the shuttle.

Is the Ceremony and Reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes! The ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will all be located at The Island House.

What is the weather in Charleston like in September?

Answer

The average daytime temperatures tend to be around 80-84 F, with temperatures dropping to low 70's in the evening. Since the wedding venue is on the water, temperatures might be slightly cooler and breezy. As with typical Charleston weather, it can vary significantly so please check the weather beforehand and plan accordingly.

What do I wear for black tie optional attire?

Answer

Women can wear a floor length or midi dress. Men can wear a suit or tux, if preferred.

Are ubers available in the area?

Answer

Getting Uber's to and from the wedding venue are expensive and limited. Please do not rely on Uber's for the venue, unless they are previously scheduled.
