We are the true definition of college sweethearts! We met during our sophomore year at Purdue University in West Lafayette. For the last few weeks of the spring semester, we spent every day together leading up to summer break. Then things changed—Hale moved over 2,000 miles away for a summer internship with Amazon Web Services in Kennewick, Washington. Since it was so early in our relationship, we didn’t think things would last, especially without seeing each other until the start of the new school year. But then, Hale bought Julia a plane ticket to spend a week with him on the west coast. During that week, Julia and Hale road-tripped everywhere from Seattle all the way to the University of Oregon campus—a place that holds a special meaning for us! Go Ducks! That trip really helped build our relationship, and we knew we wanted to be together! Once we returned to school, we were inseparable. We spent our last two years at Purdue doing everything together—from tailgates, Harry’s trips, sorority formals, basketball games and of course, getting good grades! We made lifelong friends at Purdue, for whom we are forever grateful. To top off our Purdue experience, the Boilermakers made it to the national championship for the first time in school history. Hale and Julia both graduated with their bachelor’s degrees from Purdue. Boiler Up! After graduating we both have relocated to Terre Haute, Indiana. Julia is a morning news anchor & meteorologist for the local NBC affiliate - WTWO News. Hale is a business development manager for Cryotech Deicing where he stays busy traveling around the United States. In January 2025, on the annual Prickett Family Ski Trip, Hale popped the question to Julia on top of a mountain in Whistler, Canada. It was a surreal experience! Fast forward to now—we can’t wait to embark on this journey together as husband and wife. We look forward to being surrounded by all of our loved ones on our big day!
