"The Decks" are a series of open-air bars and restaurants lining the Piscataqua River on the backside of Bow Street. A few of our favorites include Lazy Jack's, Poco's Bow Street Cantina, Old Ferry Landing, Harpoon Willy's, and River House (okay, so all of them are our favorites). If you hear us say "Let's hit the decks," you'll know where to find us.
Known as "D Street," this dive bar features karaoke, pool, pop-a-shot, and pitchers of jello shots.
This casual, hip Mexican restaurant features delicious signature and build-your-own tacos, specialty cocktails, and craft beer selection.
Fort Stark Historic Site is located on a peninsula on the southeast corner of New Castle Island overlooking the Piscataqua River, Little Harbor, and the Atlantic Ocean. There is an unmarked walking trail that goes through the 10-acre fort site - proceed with caution!
Pirate's Cove is a beautiful, wide, sandy beach in Rye, NH, about a 10 minute drive from downtown Portsmouth. Once you're on the beach, young people typically go left and families typically go right. The water will be painfully cold, but that's New Hampshire for you.
