Are children welcome?

Answer

While we love your littles, our wedding is for adults. We are happy to help coordinate babysitting if needed!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

The attire is black tie. Women should wear floor-length gowns or formal cocktail dresses. Men should wear evening clothes (tuxedos). We want our guests to have fun with this! Think - that dress you love so much but never have anywhere to wear it. Our wedding is the perfect time!

Is there transportation?

Answer

Yes! We will have shuttles running from the Alexandrian and the Courtyard Marriott to the church for the ceremony. After the ceremony shuttles will run between the church and the reception. Post reception shuttles will be available to take guests back to both hotels. For our guests who want to continue the party with us, a shuttle will run from the reception to Chadwicks in Old Town. We will provide more information on timing of the shuttles closer to the wedding date. Valet parking will be available at the reception for those who choose to drive. Finally, Alexandria is a very Uber/Lyft friendly city if you prefer that option.

When should I arrive at St. Paul's for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 5 pm. Please plan to arrive at the church between 4:30 and 4:45 pm.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that our guests turn their phones off for our ceremony. Our photographers will capture pictures of the ceremony that we are happy to share.

Where should I stay?

Answer

Check out the travel section of our wedding website for information on our two hotel blocks.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be indoors. The cocktail hour will take place outdoors followed by dinner and dancing in a heated tent with flooring.

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

Our wedding invitations will go out late summer. We would like to have all RSVPs by September, 9.
