Alyssa and I went to high school together, but we really connected during my freshman year of college. Our friendship was forged through K-pop, and we’ve been stuck together ever since. We have celebrated together, cried together, traveled together, and shared so many adventures. I will always call her family.

Kyle and I first met when he picked me up from my apartment to take me to the college TV set for a show called Catastrophe. Little did I know I was meeting one of the kindest, most thoughtful friends I’d ever have. Kyle is the glue that holds our friend groups together, hosting Survivor watch parties, Oscar showcases, and Studio Ghibli marathons. Kyle is truly a one of a kind friend!

Claire and I go way back to middle school, but we truly became close friends during our Thursday lunch meetups freshman year of college. Our friendship grew from there, and we even got to be each other’s sneaky engagement photographers. She is the Taylor Swift to my Sabrina Carpenter, I’m so grateful to have her in my life.

Jace has been my lifelong friend. We spent nearly every weekend together throughout middle and high school, and he’s always been the kind of person who shows up for his friends, no matter the day or time. I’m forever grateful that our friendship has stayed strong for more than 15 years.

Jess and I became friends through our shared love of cosplay, and over time they have become one of my closest friends. They are endlessly thoughtful and sweet, they always listen to my book recommendations, and they never hesitate to share a bottle… or three of wine with me. I love having them in my life.

Even though Matt and I have lived far apart for nearly a decade, he’s always been the kind of friend I know is never truly far away. Whether it’s been a week or a few months since we last talked, we always pick right back up, swapping thoughts on music, movies, books, and video games like no time has passed.

Natalie and I have been attached at the hip since birth, surviving endless sleepovers filled with Just Dance battles, Mario Kart tournaments, and Wii Sports showdowns. She is the funniest person on the planet, someone who has always been patient with me, and on top of all that, the best podiatrist ever.

Griffin was the first friend I made at Grand Valley. We met while acting together on GVTV and built our friendship by catching every new release at the AMC and critiquing each one. I expected to leave college with a degree, but I’m even happier that I left with a brother.

Houston and I grew very close during college when we would host Thirsty Thursday nights to play video games. Since then, Houston has become one of my closest friends. He’s someone you just want to be around because he improves the mood and energy of where ever you’re at.

Sabrina is our wobbly little cuddle bug. She’ll curl up on our lap for hours and has the sweetest soul of any cat we’ve ever known. She can also be the most infuriating little gremlin, but even then, we wouldn’t trade her for the world.

Pickle is the kindest, most handsome little man on the planet. He’s a professional ham who lives for big pats and belly rubs. Sure, he’ll sometimes annoy his sister and steal her food, but at the end of the day, he’s truly the best boy.
