Dylan and Julia met at the hair salon where Julia worked at the time. Dylan was a friend of Julia's friend and co-worker, Heather and her husband Nate. Dylan went to the salon to get a haircut from Heather. Julia could not keep her eyes off of Dylan. She had to excuse herself to the back room to prevent coming off as a creep. After Dylan left, Julia asked Heather who he was. She responded " oh that's just Dylan". Julia then responds " he was cute, wanna hook a sister up?". Heather excitedly grabs her phone and texts Dylan saying her friend thought he was cute, to which his response was "well tell her I said she was soo cute too". Dylan and Julia start talking and decide to go on a date. The first date was on 9/16/2016. Dylan picked up Julia and they went to sushi. The conversation was great, and they really hit it off. At one point, Julia had left to use the ladies room, and the server asked Dylan if this was a first date. Dylan said it was. It was then the server told him he could relax, she's definitely into you! They finished their meal, and went on with their date, and yes there was a kiss! Dylan and Julia decided just to see how this relationship progressed. Dylan liked to take things.... slow. Dylan liked to call Julia his "not girlfriend". This went on for about a year. Eventually, on ski lift ride in Flagstaff, Dylan said "you know I just call you my not girlfriend because it bugs you". Well that was it, they're serious now! At this point, Julia decided it was time to introduce Dylan to the 2 boys her have her heart, her sons. After about a year, Julia and Dylan decided that it was time move in together. Fast forward to September 25th, 2022. Dylan and Julia went on a motorcycle ride. They went to Sedona for breakfast, and then made their way up to one of their favorite places, Flagstaff. They went to Snowbowl and took another lift ride. They went up to the top of mountain, where Dylan got down on one knee and asked "Woman, will you marry me?" to which Julia very obviously says "the ring box it upside down"... realizing that's not an answer, she quickly says "YES!" And on June 24th, 2023 the couple will get to say "I DO".
