Let's circle back to 2021. Julia was working at her family's taco shop and Dylan at Vans. Julia was going to nursing school and needed to start working at the hospital, so on her last day at the taco shop, she said goodbye to her favorite customers. One of them was Dylan. He came to the counter and ordered his usual: elote. Julia rang him up and told him it was her last day. He was shocked and told her congratulations for the hospital position. She said thank you and went about the standard customer service. His elote was ready and she served it to him. Dylan said thank you and good luck, and decided to return to work. However two minutes later, Dylan was back at the counter. Julia was worried something was wrong, but Dylan simply asked for a water. Julia gave him water and Dylan yet again said "You know, good luck! You're going to do great. Congrats!" Julia thanked him again, then they both went back to work. However... five minutes later, Dylan was back at the counter, but this time nervous and face full of red. Julia asked if everything was okay and Dylan said yes, but he had to come ask for her number since it was her last day and thought it would be a good idea to keep in touch. Julia absolutely agreed and gave her the digits excitingly. Dylan thanked her and they both finally returned to work with smiles on their face, and the rest is history.
