We met on the dating app, Bumble, in 2019 and had our first date at Oscar's Seafood Tacos in Hillcrest. There was instantly a spark, but Del was deeply troubled by Julia eating only ONE taco for dinner. Fortunately, he was able to shake it off and the connection only grew from there! During the pandemic, Julia adopted a rescue pup named George, and eventually Julia, Del & George moved in together in Point Loma. Finally, after one million garage workouts, Del planned a trip to Catalina Island as a Christmas gift for Julia. Before dinner on the first night on Catalina Island, Del walked Julia out along the water where he got down on one knee and proposed. The rest, as they say, is history! We bought a house in the Clairemont area of San Diego and are quickly making ourselves right at home. Del is busy landscaping the big backyard, and Julia has already brought home the next foster pup. We are looking forward to this next chapter of our lives and celebrating with our closest friends and family!
