We met in small town Marion, Alabama, then again at a dorm in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. At the time, Conor was attending Marion Military Academy before going to West Point, and I (Julia) was getting my bachelor's at the University of Alabama. It wasn't long before we had our first date at a Pizza Hut halfway between the two towns. When Conor told me, "I'm not cheap, so you can order dessert if you want" , I knew we were meant to be. We continued to date all through college and went on to fulfill our commitments to national service, he as a Infantry Officer in the United States Army and myself as a Corps Member with Teach For America. After ten years of traveling back and forth and too many "see you later"s to count, we are thrilled to be starting the rest of our lives together. We cannot wait to celebrate with all of the people who have continued to love and support us along the way.
