FAQs

The Wedding Website of Julia Fowlie and Brian Cottrell
Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes, black tie optional. Don’t be afraid to have fun with color! We’d love to see looks that match the wedding color inspirations above.

Question

How should I get from the airport to the hotel/venue?

Answer

We suggest to rent a vehicle - the airport is about an hour an a half away from the venue site. The location of the venue from Florida and New jersey is about 10 hours if you prefer to drive to the destination. Please note that Ubers are very limited in the venue area (remote) .

Question

Can my child come to the Ceremony & Reception?

Answer

As much as we love your little ones, our wedding will be a child-free celebration. Due to limited venue space, we kindly ask that only those addressed on the formal invitation attend. We hope you see this as an opportunity to let your hair down and enjoy the party with us!

Question

Is my pet allowed to come?

Answer

We kindly ask that guests pets do not attend the weekend.

Question

Where can I find more info about Brown Mountain Beach Resort?

Answer

https://brownmountainbeach.com/

Question

Cell Phone Reception:

Answer

Cell phone service at Brown Mountain Beach Resort is limited due to the mountain location. There will be Wi-Fi available at the reception area & cafe, so you’ll still be able to connect when needed. Guests on site will not receive cell phone service in their cabins/yurts — but it’s also the perfect chance to unplug and enjoy the weekend! ** In the event of an emergency - those trying to reach you can contact the resort and the resort will seek the guest that is needed**

Question

Will there be food provided?

Answer

Food and drinks will be provided during the cocktail hour and wedding reception on Saturday. Outside of the wedding events, guests will need to provide their own meals. The closest town is about 20–30 minutes away, but there’s also a small café on-site at Brown Mountain Beach Resort for convenience. If you’re staying off-site, most nearby hotels have restaurants or dining options close by. If you’re staying on-site, we recommend stopping at a grocery store on your way in to stock up on food and snacks. Each cabin and yurt includes a refrigerator and a grill — cabins have full kitchens & grill outside, and yurts have a microwave, fridge & grill outside — so you’ll have everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. Be sure to check out the Brown Mountain Beach Resort website for more details about on-site amenities.

Question

If im staying on site how are the rooms set up?

Answer

The cabins and yurts are set up a little differently. Cabins have individual bedrooms, while the yurts feature an open floor plan. All cabins and Yurts have one bathroom to share amongst the occupants inside the unit. If you’d like a visual, photos and details they are available on the Brown Mountain Beach Resort website. Please note that the bride and groom will be assigning rooms based on specific needs to ensure everyone is as comfortable as possible.
