We hope the view from our apartment is as magical as the view of us under the Chuppah!

Bennett and Julia were introduced by mutual friends. Bennett’s college friend, Maddy, married Julia’s college friend, Kevin, and when Julia was at a college friend’s wedding in Chicago, Kevin thought it would be a good idea to set them up. To paraphrase the text message chain: Bennett thanked Kevin for “bringing an offering to his (squash) captain.” Kevin described Julia as Jewish and a fun date, Bennett confirmed that with mutual friends (who to this day will say Julia was closer to them than Bennett in college). Kevin was “given permission to explore" and needless to say, the rest is history. Kevin brought two people together who were living parallel lives with so many mutual friends; it is shocking that no one made the connection sooner. To that, Kevin, the couple thanks you and will truly spend the rest of their lives being grateful to the connection he made. Within the week, Bennett had texted Julia, and the date was set. They met for a drink at the now defunct Flatiron Lounge, and had a fairly neutral date. Bennett will say, the night ended with an over-excited Julia squealing over their shared knowledge of the workout studio SLT / Stretched, and Julia will say, the night ended with her being intrigued but not totally convinced a date 2 was in the cards. Date 2 was at Raines Law Room and Date 3 was at Dear Irving - clearly Bennett knew the key to Julia’s heart was through a fancy cocktail. Date 4 was a fun hike around Bear Mountain and a day in the Hudson River Valley. Within two months, Bennett and Julia were both invited to Ethan and Mallory Ross' wedding (Bennett by the groom and Julia by the bride), and as luck would have it, his dad and her parents were all invited to the wedding, where it became apparent that they all knew each other. Moreover, it came to light that Julia had gone to summer camp with Bennett’s sisters. Bennett and Julia continued to date through the remainder of 2018, but Bennett knew the love was solidified when Julia stood by his side on New Year's day for over 36 hours after his car broke down and needed to be jumped and towed over 4 different times. Their first few months of romance took place during a New York City winter and the couple would like to continue to celebrate their love with their closest family and friends on their 4th winter season together as husband and wife.
