After months of planning and sneaking behind Julia’s back, the special moment Ashley had been eagerly anticipating for was finally here. Their friend Nicole, who is a photographer and can keep a great secret, asked Julia and Ashley to do a fall photoshoot with her. They had done a few with her before so Ashley knew this wouldn’t make Julia suspicious. Julia didn’t know, but Ashley was coordinating the perfect spot for this to take place, getting the ring in time and most importantly, getting their family and friends together at their favorite restaurant, Capo. As the camera clicked, Ashley unveiled a heartfelt letter, dropping to one knee asking Julia to be her forever. The snapshots captured the raw emotion, creating lifelong memories of the proposal. Little did Julia know, more surprises were coming, as family and friends gathered to toast the newly engaged couple. The emotions continued as Julia was so surprised to see they were surrounded by those they hold close!

Julia proposed to Ashley on January 7th at Loon Mountain in New Hampshire. Ashley and Julia bonded over their love for skiing and snowboarding from the moment they met, and Loon very quickly became their favorite place to visit together. Julia knew that proposing at Loon would be the perfect, intimate moment that Ashley had dreamed of. So as they were half way down the mountain, on their third run of the day, Julia insisted they stopped to take a photo. Since it was just the two of them on this trip, Julia whipped out her tripod, which came as no surprise to Ashley since Julia took that thing everywhere, and set it up smack dab in the middle of a trail. What started out as a normal photo of the couple quickly turned into a heartfelt proposal. Ashley was in absolute shock, and called it a day on skiing as she was just too exciting to tell everyone she knew! So off to the lodge they went for a celebratory beer and to call their friends and family. ..... We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Lake George!
