Our story began in September 2018. Although friends had long hoped we would meet, it was God's timing that finally brought us together. One evening at a dance, we crossed paths and met face to face for the first time. Even though we had heard of one another, that night marked the official start of our journey. There was just something about him that stayed with me. November 2018: A couple of weeks passed, and we were reintroduced on November 24, 2018, after a night out with friends. That evening was special; we truly talked, laughed, and got to know one another. When we said goodbye, months passed without a word, but fate wasn’t finished with us yet. In February 2019, we ran into each other again and spent the night dancing. Still, no phone numbers were exchanged; only social media kept us loosely connected. Then, on August 23, 2019, out of nowhere, I received a message from Luna asking if I had plans. I did… but I canceled them immediately. I had waited long enough for that text! The First Date: That evening became our first real date. He arrived at 7:00 p.m. sharp, a true gentleman and took me to a Mexican restaurant. As the mariachi music played, we talked and laughed for hours. I remember the butterflies, and he later admitted he was just as nervous as I was. It wasn’t until later that he told me it was his birthday weekend and he wanted to spend it with me. I'll never forget the smiles on our faces; we both knew something special was beginning. A Perfect Match: God’s timing was perfect, especially during a year when we were both going through so much. Luna came into my life when I needed him most. After dinner, we went dancing, and he showed me exactly who he was: respectful, patient, and kind especially regarding my role as a mother. We took our time getting to know one another, and soon we were spending every other weekend together, despite the hour-long drive between us. The Proposal: On December 7, 2019, a date forever close to my heart 🥰 Luna asked me to be his girlfriend, and of course, I said yes. After 11 months of dating, he moved in with me, and we truly became a family. Then came the moment I had been waiting for: on December 7, 2024, Luna asked me to be his wife. I said YES♡ without hesitation, ready to take his last name and begin our next chapter. Reflection: These past six years have been the most beautiful of my life. God blessed me not only with a man who loves me deeply, but one who loves my children as his own. Through every high and low, Luna has chosen me, defended me, and stood by my side. With faith at the center of our lives, we choose each other every day and look forward to many more years of love and growth.
