Once upon a time in the summer of 2016, Adrien and I attended Driver's Ed at Wheatland Chili High School. Adrien was the only boy in our car and we immediately connected as he went to McQuaid and I went to Mercy High School. One day when practicing parallel parking, I backed into the cone and was so embarrassed. Our instructor asked if someone would get out of the car to fix the cone and Adrien (even though he was sitting in the middle seat) enthusiastically replied "I'll get it!" I remember looking at Adrien in the rear view mirror and he had the biggest smirk on his face. What a start to the relationship...I still claim that I am the better parallel parker! Adrien and I are so blessed to be high school sweethearts! From proms, balls, musicals, and sporting events, we graduated high school and embarked in a long distance relationship through college. Since college, our relationship has grown stronger as we entered into our careers and continued our story. After dating for 8 years, Adrien made it official with a surprise Christmas proposal straight out of a Hallmark movie. It was snowing, there were twinkling lights, champagne hidden in the pine trees, and an ornament that said "Julia, will you marry me?" Our 16 year old selves would be so happy to see us now! We are so thankful for all of the memories and can't wait to make more surrounded by family and friends as the new Mr. and Mrs. Stone!
