Wedding Party

Lucy Thomas

Maid of Honor

Lucy and Julia first met at a college speed dating event—not in search of true love, but in pursuit of future roommates. On their very first hangout, they got into a car accident (through no fault of Lucy’s) and have been best friends ever since. They survived their sophomore year living together, bonded over skiing, quoting movies, nearly burning down their dorm kitchen, and suffering through MCAT prep side by side. Lucy is now starting her fourth year of medical school at ICOM and is gearing up for a residency in pediatrics, where she plans to keep small humans alive and entertained. She’s traveling to the wedding from Boise, where she lives with her husband, Nathan, and their undeniably adorable dog, Gidget. Lucy’s fun tidbit is that she can fit her entire fist in her mouth—a skill that has yet to prove medically useful but remains wildly impressive at parties.

Lydia Wilson

Bridesmaid

Lydia and Julia met in their freshman dorm, Lincoln—one of the smallest at Gonzaga, housing only 38 students. Lincoln House was designated as a biology living-learning community, so it wasn’t exactly known for its party scene (despite a couple valiant basement party attempts). But it did bring together some lifelong friends. After a funny encounter in the shower room, Lydia and Julia have been buddies ever since. They share a love for environmentalism, hiking, Trader Joe’s, and Blundstones. Along with Hannah, they lived together in a house their junior year—where Lydia was the first to spot a mouse (which no one believed… until it was very unfortunately proven true). Lydia is traveling to the wedding from Portland, where she works as, hands down, the best labor and delivery nurse. Lydia’s fun tidbit is that she has visited 20 countries and is always ready to add more to the list.

Hannah D'Amico

Bridesmaid

Hannah and Julia first lived in the same freshman dorm at Gonzaga and later shared a house together during their junior year. Since graduating, they’ve spent the past few years in Spokane—making memories camping, paddleboarding, taking trips to Montana, going to spin class, and celebrating birthdays together! Hannah is an extremely responsible, badass woman who has saved Julia a time or two. Her jobs have really reflected how cool of a person she is: working security for SSNW and saving children live’s at the Sacred Heart PICU. Recently, Hannah became a proud homeowner (!) and now lives in her beautiful new house with Liam and their dog, Sunny. Hannah’s fun tidbit is that she was life-flighted as a child- an event that later inspired her to pursue a career in healthcare.

Liam Reisch

Bridesman

Liam and Julia also met in their freshman dorm, quickly realizing they had the same major, grew up less than 60 miles apart, and that both of their families were die-hard Notre Dame fans. After wrapping up their studies during a summer abroad in Florence, Liam and Julia backpacked through Switzerland together. After college, they both worked as EMTs in different counties. During a patient transfer rendezvous, Liam found out Julia was dating her ambulance partner, Grant—to which he immediately said, “That’s the most Julia thing I’ve ever heard.” Not long after, Liam switched over to Spokane County and ended up becoming Grant’s new partner. Liam is about to start his first year of medical school at ICOM the week after the wedding. (Good luck, buddy!!) Liam’s fun tidbit is that he once skied faster than 55 mph to win a bet—and he’s got the speeding ticket to prove it.

Ella Christiansen

Bridesmaid

Julia first met Ella when she came to Gonzaga to visit Hannah, her childhood best friend from Sequim. Eventually, Ella moved to Spokane after graduating from Concordia to work as a nurse at Sacred Heart. After some time on an inpatient floor, she transitioned to the Pediatric ER—where Julia and Grant would often run into her. They loved swapping wild stories from their shifts, sneaking in a quick hug, and occasionally commiserating over the chaos. Ella became Julia’s rock during her recent ER visit for a dislocated elbow. Ella was the one who opened Julia’s ambulance doors, held her hand, and even asked if the pediatric doctors could make an exception and see Julia right away—apparently, being 25 officially kicks you out of the pediatric fast lane. Ella is also a phenomenal mom to her dog, Cora, who is sweet, playful, and unapologetically a bed hog. Ella’s fun tidbit is she has yet to meet a craft she can’t master.

Lizzy Stewart

Bridesmaid

Lizzy is Julia’s cousin on the Danahy side. Their first picture together was actually taken while they were still in the wombs—they were born less than a month apart. Growing up, they spent summers together at Chautauqua Lake, in Texas, California, or wherever the family vacation happened to be that year. Julia learned plenty about Texas culture from Lizzy, and as teenagers, they even bought matching cowgirl boots. Lizzy recently got married, bringing an awesome new addition to the Danahy clan—we were all thrilled to welcome Mason! Lizzy and Mason are also proud new homeowners (!) and share their house with their adorable pup, Smore. Lizzy’s fun tidbit is that she survived a near leg amputation from the scariest looking bug bite she nicknamed “Mt Bloodicus”
