Julia was rather shy the first time we met in 2017 at graduate school. Despite that, her loud voice and sharp American accent pierced the room. I knew she was attractive but maintained a friendship with her throughout grad school. Fast forward to 2021, we were still good friends and I needed help with designing my home office. We shopped at Ikea and took our time building it together. I wanted to see her more and proceeded to get Julia’s help to plan my 30th birthday celebration. She has a passion for planning events and an eye for decoration. I made up excuses for us to hang out more in order to plan for the celebration. Often going out for meals and spending more time with each other. The night of my 30th celebration was the first time I committed to make a move after chatting with Michael and Mason for encouragement. We started hanging out and watching movies, going for hot pot meals, and drinking boba tea. I realized how similar we were. I made my move and here we are today!
