I remember the first time I saw Mitchell. I was going to college at our church which at the time he was working there. I remember asking my friend Courtney who that was because he was so cute. I never really saw him much after that except when he would walk by my class here and there. I saw him again at our youth group where I was volunteering, and he was working security. We talked a little that night and after that, I went to my car and stalked his Facebook for a few days before sending a friend request. He accepted the friend requested and messaged me and the next thing you know we are getting married two years later.
Mitchell and I both love going up to Silver Lake and on September 14th, 2019, it was Night Run up a Silver Lake and Mitchell has talked about Night Run since our first date. So I knew it was an important day for him. He wasn't able to go in 2018 because of family vacation so I knew he wanted to go this past summer. I thought it was going to be a regular day but Mitchell had other plans. As we were heading up to Silver Lake, Mitchell's truck brakes seized up and we had to go back home so he could fix them real quick and of course, during fixing them he ended up getting brake fluid all over his nice outfit which he was upset about it but I didn't think anything of it. We finally made it up to Silver Lake and got on the dunes till dinner. We met Aaron and Bryanne at my favorite restaurant up there then headed back to the dunes. They were remodeling the entrance ramp to the dunes and after we got back from dinner it took 2 hours in line before we got onto the dunes and the sun was starting to set. Mitchell floored it to the sunset area. That was the fastest he ever went on the dunes. We made it before the sun completely set. Mitchell got out of the truck but I didn't want because I didn't want to have to buckle back up lol. Mitchell asked if I wanted to get one last picture for the summer which I should have thought was weird because he hates pictures. I said yes and got out of the truck and Bryanne started taking pictures and she told Mitchell to smile because I guess he was so nervous and I ended up turning my back real quick and saying "act like you like me" and next thing I knew Mitchell was down on one knee and said "How but I show you I love you and ask you to marry me. Will you marry me?" I said "SERIOUSLY!" about 100 times then finally said YESSSS!!! It was a perfect way and at the place, we absolutely love and now love even more.
