Spoiler alert: Brennan had to repeat 8th grade. Lucky for him, his second time around came with a silver lining: he met Julia. Back in the Fall of 2009, Julia and her friends followed a strict Friday night schedule: school, Sully’s ice cream, and Chelmsford High football games. One Friday afternoon, they met up after school and put on some old Chelmsford High football jerseys to wear to the game. Julia ended up in jersey number 24. That night, as she and her friends made their usual laps around the field (because what else do 13-year-olds do at football games?), a boy kept shouting every time she passed. “Twenty-four! I love you, 24!” he yelled. On her way out, Julia spotted him again - this time standing on the other side of a chain-link fence. She ran off with her friends, and did what any teen girl in 2009 would do: asked around, stalked him on Facebook, and sent him a friend request. Brennan responded with a message that still exists - and much to his dismay, may or may not be pictured below. Julia and Brennan stayed friends all through high school. If you knew Julia back then, you probably knew she had a crush on Brennan. She tried to play it cool (kind of), but Brennan knew, and Julia knew that he secretly liked her, too. Life happened. Julia went off to college, and the years came and went. Until one winter evening in 2017, when Brennan asked Julia out to dinner and a movie. Just like that, they realized what everyone else already suspected: they were better together. What followed was a blur of laughter, love, and the most fun. They officially started dating on February 20, 2017, got engaged on February 22, 2024, and tied the knot in a private Catholic ceremony on August 24, 2024. Now, they’re excited to celebrate their marriage with all their favorite people on August 24, 2025.
