Are the ceremony and the reception located at the same place?
Answer
Yes! The ceremony will be held in the Library Room at the Sound View.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?
Answer
For guests within driving distance of the venue, there is on-site parking. There is also a valet for anyone coming to the wedding on Sunday and leaving after.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?
Answer
Our afternoon ceremony will be inside in the Library Room. We were originally thinking about having it outdoors on the beach, but the Library Room is simply more "us," and still has a beautiful view of the water.

Have you reserved blocks of rooms at one or more hotels?
Answer
We have reserved a room block at the Sound View Greenport Hotel. Please book your stay as early as you can to guarantee a room in our block. Use the code CHAPM261031-194342 while booking to receive our reduced rate.

Will there be a shuttle to and/or from the hotel(s) for the wedding and/or pre-wedding events?
Answer
We will not be providing guest transportation throughout the wedding weekend. Our ceremony and reception will take place in the hotel where we reserved our room block and where most guests will be staying, so no additional transport will be required.

What should I do if I don't make it into the room block?
Answer
If you miss the deadline to reserve a room in our block, reach out to the hotel and mention our wedding anyway. They may be able to accommodate you with our discount code in a room outside of our block. If not, you can find additional nearby accommodations on our travel page.

What's the best airport to use?
Answer
Long Island MacArthur Airport is the closest airport to our wedding venue. John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is another airport that has many consistent flights. If you are flying in for our wedding please know how excited we are to have you join us on our special day!

What's the dress code for your wedding?
Answer
Our dress code is black-tie optional. We ask that you wear a suit and tie/bowtie. Evening gown or a midi-dress would be appropriate in colors that Julia and Allison would love. Am I allowed to bring a plus-one?
Answer
We are not allowing additional plus-ones to our wedding, as we'd like to keep the guests list just to those who know us well. The name of every guest invited to attend is clearly listed on your formal invitation and no additional guests can be accommodated. Love you!

Am I allowed to bring my children?
Answer
We love your children, but due to space restrictions, we cannot accommodate guests under age 21 on our wedding day.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

We'll be serving hors d'oeuvres at cocktail hour followed by a sit-down dinner with a choice of entree. There will be a meat, chicken and gluten-free/nut-free/vegan option available.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?
Answer
We recommend arriving at the ceremony venue at least 30 minutes ahead of the ceremony start time to ensure you have enough time to walk to the ceremony space and find a seat.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?
Answer
Our reception will end around 10 pm, after which there will be an after-party at the same venue in the piano bar.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?
Answer
A 60-minute cocktail hour will take place between the ceremony and reception where you can enjoy cocktails, mocktails, and small bites.

Will there be other events to attend on the wedding weekend?

All of our guests staying in Greenport on October 31st are invited to join us for a welcome cocktail party at a location that is TBD!
