Historic Columbia River Highway
This is an alternative route adjancet to the highway that I recommend taking on your drive to Hood River. It is very beautiful and has many waterfalls and look out points. I proposed to Jules at Latourell Falls :,) and then we celebrated at the Women's Forum State Scenic Viewpoint - I support women! The full hike at Latourell Falls can be completed in about 3 hours. The route also passes by the Vista House and Multnomah Falls - one of the tallest year-round waterfalls in the United States.
Hood River Waterfront Park
Great walk along the Hood River water front. Takes about 1 hour to complete on foot.
Hood River Fruit Loop
32 on-the-farm fruit stands, wineries, breweries, cideries, and fields of flowers within 35 miles! What more could you want in June!

This is a clothing optional swim spot in the Gorge. Really get to know one another. Closer to Portland than Hood River.
Timberline Lodge
The top of the Mt Hood! The main focal point of our whole wedding! The Timberline Lodge is a historic lodge built during the Great Depression. This is the highest point you can drive up to on Mount Hood. There is a 40 mile loop along the Timberline trail - we recommend doing a couple miles of it. There are incredible views of Mt. Jefferson and Timothy Lake.
