Once upon a time… In October 2024, somewhere between swiping right and checking vitals, a nurse from Tennessee and an aircraft mechanic from Kentucky matched on Facebook Dating. He was an introvert who preferred the clouds to crowds. She was an extrovert who could make friends in a grocery line. But somehow, the algorithm knew—they were cleared for takeoff. Their first few messages were filled with awkward emojis (his), enthusiastic GIFs (hers), and a healthy amount of "So what do you do for fun?” She liked adventure. He flew planes. Clearly, someone was going places. After a few dates filled with laughter, a little nervous energy (mostly his), and a lot of good food (definitely hers), adventure became their thing.
