Denver Bannis and Judy Pierre first met in 2005, at the Dominica State College. They were part of a small group of friends who hung out between classes. Denver seemed a bit reserved, however he contributed quietly to the group's adventures. Judy though shy, was a bit more talkative. During their time at college they became acquaintances. Judy would sit quietly beside Mr Bannis, fascinated by the twists and turns of his pencil that would quickly reveal a neatly outlined anime character. He would explain the process in detail, and she would listen. Life happened, years passed and they both had families of their own. Each planning a future with someone else. Neither got married, and their respectful relationships eventually ended. Denver and Judy were never a couple, they had no intentions to be; but God had his own plans. In the summer of 2023, Nester and Judy exchanged numbers. He had just purchased a phone and was leaving for work related training in Barbados the following day. Throughout his tenure abroad the pair kept in touch. Three months later when he returned to Dominica their relationship took off almost immediately. Their first date was on October 2nd 2023 a day after he returned and the rest is history. Mr Bannis made it clear right away that he wanted to get married. Judy would laugh, not knowing that this man meant what he said. As time progressed, the two got closer. Their two separate families fused as one. Together they acquired some great accomplishments. Finally, in March of 2025, the couple got engaged. Now they are on a new path to a lifelong journey .
