Train
By Taoyuan Airport MRT Follow the signs: After clearing immigration, follow the purple signs for the Airport MRT. Choose your train: Express Train (Purple): This is the fastest option, taking approximately 35-40 minutes to reach Taipei Main Station, about NT$160. Commuter Train (Blue): This option is more budget-friendly and takes about 50 minutes to reach the station, stopping at more stations along the way. Purchase a ticket: You can buy a ticket or use an EasyCard (a stored-value card) for access to the MRT and other public transport. You can purchase an EasyCard in the arrival hall. Board at your terminal: Board the train at either Terminal 1 (A12) or Terminal 2 (A13).
Travel Note
Sarah works as a private car service driver, and is the cousin of a friend. She is fluent in English and can pick up from airport to Taipei for NT$1100. Each additional stop is $200. Please let me know if you want to book her service so we can include it in our group reservation, thus waiving the deposit. She will take cash payment upon arrival.
