WE ARE GETTING MARRIED!

We connected with the help of modern day fairy godmother and a mutual friend. I chose to meet at a speakeasy behind an ice-cream shop, figured ice-cream and drinks can't go wrong with anyone. Fen told me his first impression of me was I am adorable (hahaha). When he first saw me, he found me chatting with a little boy with mouth full of ice-cream (kid and I got nothing to do so we bonded over waiting: him waiting for mom and me waiting for Fen). My first impression of Fen was this guy is either a psychic or a magician! He could guess my Myers-Briggs personality type within 30 mins of chatting. After that we went on a few many more 10+ hours-long dates, and the rest is history.

Fen suggested double date with his cousin and wife at the speakeasy where we first met, followed by dinner. I said sure but can't help feeling suspicious considering his cousin and wife do not drink... We were at the speakeasy waiting for his cousin. I anticipated him to propose and perhaps his cousin was hiding around to help take photos. However, 2 drinks down and nothing happened, everything seemed normal. Just when I started to feel maybe I overthink, all of a sudden one of my favorite songs, Stand by Me, came up. For some reason I turned around and to my surprise, not only did I see his cousin, but also our family and friends standing behind me! When I turned back to Fen, he was down on one knee!! I couldn’t fully hear what he was saying with the music and shock. But I knew to say yes Yes YES once his mouth stopped moving. After that we had champagne toast with everyone, followed by dinner and cake. And we are happily engaged <3 PS. I had him do the proposal speech 3 more times afterwards to be sure I heard what he said : )
