Samer and Judith’s love story began in February 2020, when they matched on Hinge. Samer initiated the conversation, introducing himself and complimenting one of Judith’s travel photos. Their connection was immediate, as they quickly discovered a shared love for travel, an appreciation for diverse cuisines, and a mutual sense of humor that kept the conversation flowing effortlessly. Texting became a daily habit, and within a week, Samer invited Judith out for coffee. Coordinating their busy schedules proved challenging, but fate intervened. A last-minute delay in Samer’s work trip to Germany left him with a free Sunday afternoon, and Judith, intrigued by their connection, rearranged her plans (canceling another first date) to meet him. They chose a bustling coffee shop in Chantilly, Virginia, where their first date turned into hours of conversation that felt like mere minutes. Immersed in their conversation, they barely noticed the world around them. Their date only came to an end when Samer realized that, if he didn’t leave at that exact moment, he would be late for his work flight to Germany. Both Samer and Judith wished the date could continue, but reluctantly, they said their goodbyes, promising to see each other again soon. Before taking off, Samer made sure to text Judith, letting her know how much he enjoyed their time together and that he couldn’t wait to see her again. From that day forward, they began a beautiful journey, filled with daily texts, creative date ideas, and countless moments of happiness and new experiences. Though they both felt from the very beginning that something special was blossoming, it was more than just a connection—it was the start of an incredible adventure. Together, Samer and Judith have been building a life filled with love, laughter, unwavering support, and immeasurable happiness. Each day brings new adventures and cherished memories, as they continue to grow side by side, creating a future as vibrant and fulfilling as their journey has been so far. They are thrilled to celebrate their love story and begin this next chapter surrounded by the warmth and support of their loved ones on their wedding day.
Samer and Judith share an enduring passion for travel, embracing the excitement of discovering new countries, exploring unfamiliar places, and immersing themselves in diverse cultures and cuisines. Since they began dating, their adventures have taken them to ten countries across five continents, with many more journeys eagerly anticipated on the horizon. As perfect travel companions, their love for exploration has become a cherished part of their relationship, making it only fitting that their engagement took place abroad. In October 2023, during a trip to London to celebrate Judith’s birthday, Samer orchestrated a breathtaking proposal in her favorite city in the world. Having never visited London himself, Samer entrusted Judith to craft an itinerary filled with her favorite sights, foods, and experiences. Among the planned activities, Samer expressed a desire to see one of the city’s most iconic views—an idea that set the stage for an unforgettable moment. He suggested visiting the top of The Shard, London’s tallest skyscraper, renowned for its panoramic 360-degree views. Unbeknownst to Judith, this request was part of a much more ambitious plan. Their day in London was unforgettable, filled with explorations of Buckingham Palace, Covent Garden, and Hyde Park, as well as a quintessential high tea experience. As the evening approached, the couple ascended to The Shard’s 69th floor to take in the stunning nighttime cityscape. The clear skies offered dazzling visibility, and the view was nothing short of spectacular. While they admired the city lights, a staff member approached with an unexpected offer—a private tour of the open-air terrace on the 72nd floor. Guided to the highest point in London, Judith and Samer enjoyed a private moment overlooking the city’s glittering expanse. As the tour concluded, they made their way back to the elevator. But instead of descending to the lobby, the elevator doors reopened on the 69th floor to reveal a breathtaking scene: a red carpet adorned with flower petals, flickering candles lining the path, and an illuminated “Marry Me” sign glowing in the distance. In that perfect moment, Samer asked Judith to marry him. The answer, of course, was yes—and the rest is history.
