at last...

It is no secret that Chris and I met online, but we didn't really meet until our first date in October 2016. For our first meeting we decided to go to Tapcade in down town Kansas City. For those unfamiliar, this is an old school arcade and tap room with gourmet bar food; plenty to do with a newly acquainted stranger. We were both really nervous despite the great conversations we had with one another, over the phone, prior to meeting. But the moment we saw each other and locked eyes we knew this was something special. We wouldn't say it was "love at first sight"; Chris would say it was more a feeling of immediate kinship to one another, and I would say it was like uncovering an instant bond or magnetism. It was the best first date either of us had been on; despite the fact that neither of us was very adept at playing video games we shared a lot of laughter and uncovered like personality traits. It was so nice to finally find someone with whom we could be completely open and comfortable with. Finding each other has truly blessed our lives in ways neither of us though possible.
