Yes. All guests who are planning to attend the wedding are required to stay at Finest Playa Mujeres. Please use our wedding promo code when booking your room: TJWAUG22FPM
Yes! We intentionally selected a family friendly resort so that everyone can bring their kids if they choose to, totally up to you! If you got an invite and have kids then they are all invited. Any official wedding events will be held at venues where kids are welcome.
There are three levels of accommodations that you can select from offering enhanced amenities or access to adult only areas and exclusive restaurants. Regular rooms offer you the standard all-inclusive experience. Finest Club rooms are upgraded club level rooms for families that offer exclusive access to select areas. Excellence Club rooms are Adults Only and provide a premium level of spirits and access to exclusive pools and a restaurant. Please be aware that those staying in the non-club section will be restricted from going to the other two VIP sections. While in our experience this is not strictly enforced we wanted to flag it for you. Any activities we have will of course be scheduled in an area of the resort all of our guests can enjoy. Our personal favorite is an Excellence Club Swim up Suite that we always try and book.
When booking your room there are two options, a non-refundable rate and a refundable rate. We recommend booking a refundable rate as this can give you flexibility if your plans change. If you book the non-refundable rate your credit card will be charged the full price immediately and there is no possibility of modifying the reservation. With a refundable rate you will not be charged the full price until 30 days before your stay and can give you more flexibility if your plans change as the full price is refundable. The refundable rates are generally a couple hundred dollars more, but we think it is well worth it for peace of mind. To choose a refundable rate, when reserving your room select the tab that says "Suite + Free Transfer" instead of the "Non Refundable + Free Transfer" tab.
If you do book a refundable rate make sure that you keep in mind your credit card must be valid when the resort eventually charges you 30 days before your stay. If not you will receive an email and have 24 hours to submit a new credit card or your reservation will be canceled. We have read stories online where people have had credit cards expire or had to get a new number due to fraud and have had their rooms canceled because an email notifying them went into a spam folder. Please make sure your credit card is up to date 30 days before your stay to not have your room canceled as there may not be the room selection you want available and prices will likely have increased.
If you reserve a stay of at least 3 nights you will receive a free transfer to and from the hotel. These are generally luxury SUVs and are private to your reservation, no big busses or multiple stops. In your booking confirmation email there will be a link you can click to set up your transfer which will allow you to email the tour company directly. Be aware in our experience they can be very slow in responding and we would recommend following up with them a month prior to your stay if you have not confirmed a transfer. We would also recommend checking with the company once you arrive at the resort to confirm your departing transfer.
When you land at the airport you will first have to clear customs. We recommend filling out the forms before you arrive - https://www.inm.gob.mx/fmme/publico/en/solicitud.html. Once you go through customs and claim your checked baggage you will exit the terminal to find your transportation to the resort. **IMPORTANT** If you have scheduled a transfer through the resort DO NOT stop and listen/talk to any of the tour operators or taxi companies that will try and get your attention. They want to charge you money for their own service and do not want to actually assist you. The Seasons Tours representatives, which are the tour company that works with the resort, and you will be getting a ride from, will be OUTSIDE OF THE TERMINAL. They are going to be wearing lime green shirts that say Seasons Tours. We cannot stress enough (if you booked a transfer through the hotel) that you should talk to nobody other than the Seasons Tour representatives.
**UPDATE** Finest Playa Mujeres just changed their dress code so please see updated clothing requirements for the restaurants below. The resort is VERY strict on the dress code, make sure you pack accordingly. Regular Casual Dinner For Ladies: Long pants, Capri pants, skirt, blouse, or dress. For Gentlemen: Shorts, Bermudas, Capri or long pants. Dress shirt, collarless shirt, or polo shirt. Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn. Applies for: Brass, Duke’s, Insieme, Legends, Lizo, Seaside, Shoji, Surf & Turf, Tinto & Tapas, and The Market Kitchen restaurants. Casual Elegance Dinner For Ladies: Long pants, Capri pants, skirt, and blouse, or dress. For Gentlemen: Long dress pants and a collared shirt. Casual shoes or elegant sandals must be worn. Applies for: Le Petit Plaisir, Dommo, and Gusto restaurants. Breakfast/Lunch Dress Code: Casual Shorts, bermudas, sarongs and t-shirts are welcome.
Obviously not Black Tie but also not surfing attire. Think cocktail dresses, dressy jumpsuits, and suits or slacks. Although we will be getting married on the beach, shorts, flip flops and bathing suits are not allowed during the ceremony. We recommend wedges or dressy sandals for women. Thank you for your understanding!
While tipping is not required, we will generally tip a few dollars for every other round of drinks and will leave a few dollars with dinner as well. Tips are much appreciated by the staff and can go a long way towards making sure your pool or beach waiter keeps the refills coming!
Bug Spray Sunblock Pool Noodles Yeti Tumbler Waterproof Phone Case/Dry Bag The resort has a no disposable plastic policy, which means that they do not have straws. If you want to sip your frozen cocktail with a straw we recommend bringing one with you. You can always go with a silicone or metal straw that you can easily bring with you.
Good News! As of June 12 the United States is no longer requiring negative COVID tests for travel into the United States.
