Let's get married!
There is a lot of history to fit into such a small space, but many of you have been there with us the entire time. We met back in Middle School at the community pool, White's Road in Lansdale. Mallory was impressed with Judd's cannonballs and cool underwater tricks. We both attended Penn Brook Middle School and spent a lot of class time together (shout out Mr. Smith our English teacher who always figured we would end up together). Into High School at North Penn we went and remained great friends throughout the years. Next up was college in Philly; Mallory at Temple and Judd at Drexel. We spent a lot of time together amongst our friend group and began to grow into the fine adults we are today. As sophomore year ended, that is when the sparks began to fly. Judd began asking some big picture questions and Mallory grew suspicious. Before we both knew it, we were on a date at Buddakan enjoying edamame dumplings (IYKYK). Soon after, Mallory took off to Rome for 4 months to study abroad. With the help of his family, Judd was able to spend a week in Rome with Mallory. We ate loads of cheese and pasta. Did we mention the baskets of salami? Back at home, Judd watched Finn, Mallory's cat. This created the foundation of Judd and Finn's relationship. As we all know, a boyfriend needs to be accepted by any pets. Once back home, Mallory and Judd continued to let their relationship grow while surrounded by a great group of loving friends and supportive family. We enjoyed music festivals, great restaurants, and the later years of college. We lived all over the city; West Philly, North Philly, South Philly, and Graduate Hospital. In 2014, we finally settled at an apartment at 21st and Walnut St. in the Rittenhouse area of Philadelphia. We may or may not have specifically picked an apartment that was dog friendly, even though we did not have a dog...yet. Hello Hudson! Soon after moving in, we found Hudson at a rescue adoption event in Chestnut Hill. That little round ball of fluff came running up and it was love at first sight. We were told he would be a medium 40 pound dog. If you know Hudson, you know he is definitely not 40 pounds...more like 90, but who's counting? Between then and our engagement, 7 years later, in September of 2021, we have been all over and then some! We lived in three different apartments at 21st and Walnut St. (3B, 4D, & 10F). Next we moved a staggering two blocks away to 21st and Market St. Most recently we moved to and currently still live at 23rd and Arch St. Travel was, and still is, a huge part of our relationship together. We visited Paris, London, Italy, Germany, Alaska, Vermont, Utah, California, Hilton Head, Florida, and of course, Maine, where we got engaged. Around June of 2021, Judd had a moment of clarity and decided that it was time to seal the deal and ask Mallory to marry him. He took a stroll from the apartment, down Walnut St., straight into Tiffany's and immediately spied the perfect ring. Ring in hand, Judd did not even have a plan as to how to ask Mallory to marry him yet, but step one was complete. One day soon after, Mallory asked about going up to Acadia National Park in Maine. Judd jumped at the opportunity and of course said yes. Now begins the secret planning of a surprise engagement. Everything was set up for a great surprise, then Mallory began to say things like "we should get married". Judd thought the jig was up and she knew about the ring! The good news is, she had no idea. On September 16th, on Sand Beach in Acadia Maine, the look of surprise on Mallory's face as Judd got down on one knee was priceless. This was probably due to the fact that not many hours before, she asked about getting married and Judd lied and said "we can look for rings when we get home". Two years later, it is time to get this marriage thing underway! We have been hard at work planning a celebration we hope to remember for the rest of our lives. We have almost reached our space limit so I will wrap thi
