My maid of honor, Chloe Riddle, invited me to the church's youth game nights. I had been enjoying learning about Jesus while also seeing how the Lord has been apart of everyone's lives. I was invited to go to the church's youth retreat and helped drive up to Shaver Lake. Judah and I were one of the oldest in the group so we were paired to cook together. He made his Nana's oven burritos, and i was in awe with Judah's intelligence, humor and his amazing cooking skills. We started becoming closer friends and we both wished the retreat would never end. My car breaks were not the best and I had told everyone about this since I was one of the drivers. The day after the retreat Judah reached out and offered to change my breaks. I had no idea he did not know how to change breaks but I knew I wanted to see him again so I forgot to ask if he did or not. Funny enough, Judah quickly dropped my car while changing my breaks and began to panic with embrassiment. I was the happiest girl in the world and laughed the entire time. After a long time of watching youtube videos and calling his friend Derek to come help. Judah taught me how to ride a bike. In this moment he knew he wanted to marry me. But me being a young girl all I knew was that I wanted to be around him for as long as possible. Everyday of that summer we hung out. Going on long walks, car rides, bike rides, doing errands and getting a lot of snow cones. After a short while Judah asked me out with a proposition to cook me dinner. I declined. BUT Judah kept asking and I said yes. Our first date Judah knew how much I loved cats. So he told me to wear something comfortable, picked me up from my house and took my to a big cat sanctuary called Cat Haven in Dunlap, CA. I was blow away and over the moon seeing all these lions and tigers saved from abuse. Judah bought me a stuffed white tiger named after one of the big cats, Diana. I sleep with her every night. Our date was soon cut short, because our close friends needed us to watch their dogs but I took a raincheck on his sun dried tomato pasta that Judah had planned to cook for me that evening. After that we became inseparable. God had given us a true blessing bringing us together. I have thanked the Lord everyday for the love Judah and I have for each other that has continued to grow everyday.
