FAQs

Question

Are both the ceremony and the reception in the same place?

Answer

Yes. The reception will start directly after the ceremony with only a short cocktail hour in between. Both will be held in the same location at The Dewey

Question

What the heck is "Festive Formal" attire?

Answer

This is a fun one! Think of the elegance of a "black tie optional" affair, but with a winter twist. Suits and ties (or tuxes) for guys. Fancier cocktail dresses (or gowns) for gals. Don’t hesitate to work in that Christmas-baubles necklace or wear your Rudolph socks and matching Santa bow-tie!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

If your wedding invitation says "and guest" then yes. During these uncertain times, only those addressed on the invitation are permitted. Thank you for your understanding.

Question

What does an “unplugged” ceremony mean? Are pictures and videos permitted?

Answer

When we look back out at you from the altar (as well as in our photos for years to come) we’d like to see your faces, not your devices. Please refrain from taking any pictures or videos during the ceremony. Just keep that technology tucked away for 20 minutes, please :) We’ll have a professional photographer and videographer to capture the ceremony moments and we’ll gladly share them with you as soon as possible. Once the cocktail hour has begun, feel free to snap all the pictures and videos you’d like and tag us using the hashtag #juanthrunlove
