What is Antigua Guatemala?

This is the former capital city of Guatemala, with colonialist architecture from the 1500s it is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Guatemala. As such you will fit in among other tourists and find English speaking vendors. It is a major hub for coffee farms, chocolate making, and artisanal hand-crafted goods. It is also known for its 360 view of 3 major volcanoes!

For a Wedding men need to wear a full suit and a tie. Women, floor length gown. Weddings are always very formal in Guatemala. Women and men can bring sneakers for the reception or the after party.

What is the weather like in May/ June?

Answer

Antigua will be fairly warm throughout the day but I recommend you bring a sweater/jacket because it will be a little chilly at night. In Antigua you may wear what you like. It is the beginning of the rainy season in May so like in Florida, around 2 it will rain.
