We Eloped!

Juan Manuel got down on one knee on the last day of our trip to Disney World. We planned a birthday trip to Disney for Gemma's 2nd birthday and on the first day we had a couple photoshoots planned to remember Gemma's first trip. Juan Manuel said he almost did it then but, got too nervous. He decided to wait until our last day to pop the question right in front of Cinderella's castle. Monica had a hunch that he was going to propose on the trip but, since the last day had arrived and no questions had been asked, she kind of forgot about it. So when it did happen, Monica was very surprised and of course said Yes!

On September 27, 2023, Juan Manuel, Monica, and Gemma flew almost 2000 miles to Portland, Oregon. The following day, they all woke up bright and early to grab some breakfast before getting ready for the day. Monica had her makeup and hair done while Juan Manuel kept Gemma busy. Once finished, Monica helped Gemma change into her beautiful dress and surprised her dad during the first look. Now, it was time for Monica and Juan Manuel to do their first look. He didn't cry buuuuut, that is okay because later on that day he would. Of course this perfect fall day in Oregon would not be complete without a little rain, just in time to head out to Latourell Falls. They exchanged vows in front of the most amazing waterfall (and some onlookers). After some photos and many many kisses, they made the drive to Trillium Lake for some additional photos. They ended the night back at their airbnb where they cut their cake privately.
