Lonnie and I met when I was in 6th grade and he was in 7th grade. We attended Cleveland Middle school. He was really good friends with my sister Rosi. We then saw each other again when I was in 10th grade and he was in 11th grade. My sister, LaMar Davis(Hitch) & Lonnie hung out during our high school years. I would hang out with them from time to time. Lonnie went off to Saint Peters and I went to Kean University. We all lost contact after that. Years later Lonnie and I started following each other on FB. Covid hit and we both started a new hobby, cycling. My late twin brother had been cycling with my brother in love Eli two years prior. For two long years both of them had asked me to start cycling to which I declined. Finally during covid my sister Teresa and my brother in love bought me my 1st bike for my birthday to help my late brother with his depression and become interested in cycling again. He then cycled with me 3 times after that. Lonnie inboxed me through FB and suggested a few trails for me to try out. To which I replied a few weeks later, oh do you cycle? Hi response was, what do you think ? That week I invited Lonnie to join my brother in love Eli and I to Columbia trail. I, by mistake gave him the wrong address. We were cycling in opposite directions. Then we finally saw one another. My brother in love and Lonnie hit it off. Which I found really odd since my brother in love doesn’t hit it off with people so often! After that Lonnie and I both ended up joining RPM cycling club ( Ride Pedal Movement). This was by coincidence! Not really, this was God preparing what he had in store for us all along! I created a chat with LaMar Davis(Hitch) & Lonnie. I was able to get LaMar to ask all the questions I needed in order to make sure Lonnie checked most of the boxes I had written at a retreat I had attended two years prior. Hence why I nickname LaMar our personal Hitch! My late twin brother confirmed to me the day he reacquainted himself with Lonnie that he would be a great man for me to start a relationship with. And the rest is history! God had a plan for the both of us, WE just needed to pray, get bikes, & wait…
